Brett Berk: What have you got planned for the hiatus?

Max Adler: Right now I’m in Michigan filming a movie calledDetention of the Dead, which is like Zombieland meets Breakfast Club. Then me and my family are going down to Mexico for Father’s Day. When I get back from that, I’m doing a SAG screening and Q&A of an episode from Glee, because they just found out that I’ve been submitted for an Emmy for best guest actor. So that’s very exciting.

At the end of July, there’s a big Glee convention in Birmingham, England, so me, Jenna Uskowitz, Harry Shum, Kevin McHale, and Ashley Fink are going to do a big autograph-and-picture session with all the amazing U.K. fans that we don’t usually get to meet. I’ve never been to Europe, so from London, my girlfriend and I are going to head to France and spend that next week or so in Paris. Then Gleestarts up again in August.

In between all that, I’m going to try to get another movie. I just met with a director for a movie called AWOL, and I’m in talks for a movie called The Gangster Squad, with Ryan Gosling and Sean Penn.

Jesus Christ, Max. That’s a lot. You must need to relax. If you could pick a drink that best describes you this summer, what would it be?

For Glee purposes, if you’re talking about my character, I’d go with a virgin daiquiri.

What about a kick-back theme song for your summer?

“Red Red Wine,” by UB-40. It’s the ultimate chill-out summer song. It’s on in the background right now, and it’s my ringtone, my alarm, the whole thing.

As many of you might already know, there’s been some talk about starting a campaign this summer to get Max his first solo on Glee. WickedSteph and I have decided to try and get the ball rolling with a little video project. Again, this idea has been discussed before, so this may be nothing new to you.

To be brief, we’re interested in putting together a compilation video of Dave/Max Adler fans explaining why they love the character and the actor, how Dave/Max may have/or is inspiring them, how they’d love to hear Max sing, and maybe a suggestion of a song idea/setting in which it could take place in an episode. The goal is to whore out publicize this video enough so that it can reach the eyes and ears of the powers that be- but most importantly, we want Max to know how much we care about him and we’d like to try to give something back to him for all the dedication and effort he’s poured in to his character and the show. (Allow me to point out now that this project is in no way ship-specific. This is for anyone who loves Max and/or Dave and would like to hear him sing, regardless of pairing/shipping/fandom preferences)

At this point, Steph and I would just like to get a rough estimate of who’s interested in being involved with this project- that is, namely, making a video of themselves addressing the issues listed above. If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, please like or reblog this post.

To piggy back off of what Annie has already stated, there will be a time limit. We’re not asking for long videos. No more than 2 minutes really. It will be a compilation that will hopefully be similar to the It Gets Better project commercials? So little snippets saying ‘I want Karofsky to get better! He needs to be redeemed because it will reach out to many just like him!’

So how many would actually be interested? Again, this isn’t just exclusive to Kurtofsky. If you’re a Karofsky supporter, and really wish for him to change his ways then you’re eligible to join. Post/reblog here so we can get a head count. Thank you!
